SHARJAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to launch nonstop flights between Sharjah and Gdansk starting December 14, 2026, establishing a new route linking the UAE with northern Poland. The airline will operate five flights weekly between Sharjah International Airport and Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport. The flights will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This route will provide travelers in Poland’s Pomeranian region with direct air access to Sharjah.

Air Arabia sets five weekly Sharjah Gdansk flights
Sharjah-Gdansk service adds northern Poland to Air Arabia’s expanding route network.

On Mondays and Saturdays, flight G9 0628 departs Sharjah at 4 p.m., arriving in Gdansk at 8 p.m. The return, G9 0629, will leave Gdansk at 8:50 p.m. and land in Sharjah at 6:10 a.m. the following morning. Flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays will depart from Sharjah at 8:15 a.m., with the return service leaving Gdansk at 1:05 p.m. and reaching Sharjah at 10:25 p.m.

Following the December expansion, Gdansk will become Air Arabia’s fourth Polish destination from Sharjah, after Krakow and Warsaw Chopin Airport. The airline will also introduce flights to Katowice on December 17, 2026, three days after the Gdansk service begins. The Katowice route will operate four times weekly, adding another Polish city to the airline’s expanding schedule.

Gdansk enhances direct connectivity with northern Poland

The new Gdansk route broadens Air Arabia’s European network from Sharjah, extending the airline’s reach to the Baltic coast. Besides Gdansk, the airline serves several major European hubs, including Athens, Vienna, Prague, Milan, Munich, Rome, and London Gatwick. Gdansk Airport caters to the wider Tri-City area, encompassing Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot, along with other parts of northern Poland. It offers domestic and international flights catering to both leisure and business travelers across the region.

Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive of Air Arabia, commented that the addition of Gdansk would strengthen the airline’s presence in Poland. Tomasz Kloskowski, President of Gdansk Airport, emphasized the direct link between the Pomeranian region and the UAE. He noted that Sharjah has been identified as a transfer hub for onward journeys to India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and East Africa. These new flights will enable Gdansk passengers to connect seamlessly to Air Arabia’s broader network via its hub in Sharjah.

Scheduled five-times-weekly flights commence in December

Air Arabia operates Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft across its network and has already opened bookings for the Gdansk route. The airline’s timetable lists flight G9 0628 departing from Sharjah on Mondays and Saturdays, with G9 0629 handling the return. Flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays will use G9 0626 from Sharjah and G9 0627 from Gdansk. All scheduled times are local, and the route will be nonstop in both directions.

The launch on December 14 will expand Air Arabia’s direct Polish network shortly before the carrier begins flights to Katowice. With Krakow and Warsaw already served, these two additional Polish routes will bring the total to four destinations from Sharjah. Gdansk will have five flights weekly, while Katowice will operate four flights per week under the confirmed schedule. The airline continues to list the December start date and five-flight weekly timetable for Gdansk as definitive for 2026.
