Nepal has projected that restoring areas affected by the August 26 Bhote Koshi floods will require an investment of approximately $4.78 billion. According to the government’s Rapid Damage and Needs Assessment, direct physical harm amounts to around $1.8 billion, while economic setbacks are estimated at about $883 million. This assessment covers sectors such as social services, productive industries, and critical infrastructure. The flooding impacted regions including Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, and other river-adjacent districts, damaging homes, roads, bridges, and energy facilities.
