SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to begin nonstop services from Sharjah International Airport to Amman City Airport starting November 15, 2026. The airline will operate this route four times weekly, creating another direct link between the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Currently, Air Arabia connects Sharjah with Queen Alia International Airport, providing travelers with access to two airports serving Amman. The new flights are scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Flight G9 169 will depart from Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrive in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time. The return flight, G9 170, will leave Amman at 11:20 a.m., reaching Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Reservations for the new route are available via the airline’s website, call center, and travel agencies. Announced on October 8, the route’s debut is more than a month before the first scheduled flight.
The addition of the Sharjah route expands Air Arabia Group’s existing network in Jordan, which already includes services from Abu Dhabi and Alexandria. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi operates flights from Zayed International Airport to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Meanwhile, the group also runs direct flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport. The new route from Sharjah provides an extra departure point for travelers heading to the Jordanian capital.
Second Jordanian Airport Joins Sharjah Network
Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, explained that the new service offers travelers an alternative airport option in Amman. He added that the new connection will enhance convenience and flexibility for passengers traveling between Jordan and the UAE. The airline will continue its existing flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, making Amman City Airport a second gateway into Jordan for Air Arabia’s Sharjah flights.
Earlier this year, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launched flights to Amman City Airport, beginning on May 1 with three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. Prior to this, the Abu Dhabi operation already served Queen Alia International Airport. When the new service started, Air Arabia reported that the Abu Dhabi schedule offered 10 weekly flights to Amman. Now, the two-airport model will extend to Sharjah as well.
Four Weekly Flights Strengthen UAE-Jordan Connectivity
The new flights from Sharjah will be operated under the G9 169 and G9 170 service designations throughout their published schedule. Air Arabia’s fleet includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. Passengers can enjoy SkyTime in-flight entertainment, SkyCafe onboard meals, and the Air Rewards loyalty program. The new Amman City Airport service can be booked through the airline’s usual sales channels ahead of its November launch.
This November service expansion enhances Air Arabia Group’s network links between the UAE and Jordan, facilitated through multiple bases. Passengers from Sharjah will have direct access to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Those traveling from Abu Dhabi already benefit from services to both airports via Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, while Alexandria maintains a direct connection to Amman City Airport. The new route from Sharjah will introduce four weekly flights, further broadening the airline’s Jordan schedule.
